Today is world Spay Day. It was started in 1995 by the Doris Day Animal Foundation to raise awareness about the need to spay and neuter to save animals lives. In 1995 approximately 14 million animals were euthanized in shelters every year. Today it is down to around a million. Do your part to keep the stray animal population down by spaying and neutering your pets! Many animal shelters, vets, and your local PETA organizations provide low cost spay and neuter procedures today.
